Washington quarterback Alex Smith was the biggest surprise among Football Team inactives for Saturday's Wild Card round playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Washington will instead turn to Taylor Heinicke, who was added to the roster in December as the team's quarantine quarterback, but acquitted himself well when coming in for relief of Dwayne Haskins in Washington's Week 16 loss to Carolina.

It should come as a breath of fresh air to Washington fans knowing that wide receiver Terry McLaurin, running back Antonio Gibson and and linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis are all a GO against the Buccaneers.

Outside of Smith, who was already questionable coming into the weekend, there are no big surprises among Washington's inactives list.

Football Team Inactives: WR Antonio Gandy-Golden, QB Alex Smith, RB Lamar Miller, LB Thomas Davis, LB Jordan Kunaszyk, T David Steinmetz

Star Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans was described as a game-time decision after suffering an injury scare (hyperextended knee) in last Sunday's regular-season finale against Atlanta but is a go for Saturday night.
