Ready. Set. Go.
Last week I picked 26 games and went 19-7 to begin the season. This week I will be picking 28 games total.
Here are the teams that impressed me the most from Week 1:
1) Boiling Springs
Two words. Lincoln. Huskey. The Bulldogs started off the 2024 season on a strong note after defeating Greer 43-0. Huskey will be one of the more electrifying QB's in the Upstate & has a solid defense to compliment the offense.
2) Spartanburg
Beating South Pointe is impressive. Beating South Pointe on the road is really impressive. Beating South Pointe on the road in a come from behind win is what puts Spartanburg on this list for me. The Vikings showed great resilience in Week 0 and not to mention having one of the best kickers in the state may even put them over the top. The Vikings are improved from 2023 and what Mark Hodge continues to build will be no surprise.
3) Woodruff
The Wolverines took down Clinton 40-36 last Friday & showed that they are a serious threat offensively. Brett Sloan begins his second season at Woodruff & I expect this team to only get better.
