Wiggins headlines group of 10 from Clemson & SC taken in draft

A total of 10 players from the Palmetto State's two largest football schools heard their names called in this year's NFL draft. Clemson had 6 players taken in the draft, tying them for 2nd place with the most players taken from one school.

Tiger DB Nate Wiggins went 30th overall in the 1st round to the Baltimore Ravens. SC WR Xavier Leggette went 32nd overall to the Carolina Panthers to conclude the first round.

Clemson DT Ruke Orhorhoro was chosen in the 2nd round (35th overall) by Atlanta. Tiger RB Will Shipley went in the 4th to Philadelphia. Gamecock QB Spencer Rattler was chosen in the 5th round by New Orleans. Tiger defensive duo Xavier Thomas and Jeremiah Trotter both were taken in the 5th. Thomas went to Arizona and Trotter was taken by the Eagles.

In the 6th Round Clemson DT Tyler Davis went to the LA Rams and Gamecock DB Marcellas Dial was chosen by New England. SC Center Nick Gargiulo was a 7th round choice by the Denver Broncos. South Carolina had 4 players chosen in this year's draft.
