Training camp for the Carolina Panthers opened in the Upstate Wednesday morning. As usual, The Panthers are holding camp at Wofford College in Spartanburg.
The team comes into the season with a brand new Head Coach in Frank Reich and what they believe is their franchise QB Bryce Young. The former Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama was the #1 pick in this year's draft, after the Panthers traded up to get him. Young made his way onto the field Wednesday morning to a big ovation from fans gathered at Wofford. He has already been named the starter entering camp.
Panther training camp continues Thursday and their "Back Together" event will be held Saturday. The Fan Upstate's Rob Brown, Marc Ryan and Diesel are set to be on hand for that from 9-11 AM.
One major change to camp this year, is that a ticket is required to attend practices. Panther training camp runs through August 10th.
