The 1st round of charges have been announced and more could be coming against an Arkansas man and his wife, that allegedly abducted a 12 year old Upstate girl. As we previously reported, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office announced that the girl had been found safely last week in Arkansas.
The Sheriff's Office announced that the couple that abducted the girl took her to their Arkansas home. Both 31 year old Brandon Lee Britten and Sierra Dawn Britten were taken into custody. Sierra is facing charges for accessory to Brandon's various crimes.
He's charged with rape, traveling to commit a unlawful sex act on a child and internet stalking. Both are being held on a bond of a million dollars each.
Investigators report that Brandon Britten groomed the 12 year old girl via social media, prior to the abduction. Spartanburg County Sheriff Bill Rhyne says more charges could be coming.
