In a season where the Braves lost arguably their best field player (Ronald Acuña Jr.) and pitcher (Mike Soroka) well before the All-Star break, they still find themselves in the 2021 World Series.

While there's been no shortage of performances throughout the season and postseason to get the Braves into the Fall Classic, two performances from Game 6 stand above the rest.

At the plate, NLCS MVP Eddie Rosario, who tied a playoff record with 14 hits in the series win over the Dodgers, hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the 4th inning that gave the Braves a 4-1 lead they never relinquished.

On the mound, reliever Tyler Matzek pitched in five of the six games against the Dodgers, and in 6 innings allowed just one hit. The biggest moment of the Braves clinching victory was when Matzek came on in the 7th inning to escape a 2-on, no-out jam with three straight strikeouts.

Rosario, who was picked up by the Braves before the trade deadline and missed a few weeks while rehabbing a previous injury, may not have even started in the NLCS had Jorge Soler not been forced to miss the majority of the series while on the COVID list.

Matzek was a bullpen arm who found himself out of the league in 2015, and despite signing a few minor league contracts, was pitching for the Texas AirHogs when the Braves purchased his contract.

When it comes to Major League Baseball, October is where legends are made, and Rosario and Matzek stamped their spot in Braves lore with their performances leading the Braves into the World Series.
