Wheatfield, N.Y. (WBEN) - A man is facing multiple charges after crashing his vehicle in the Town of Wheatfield on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, 40-year-old Robert Prange called 9-1-1 around 2 p.m. EST after his trucked flipped and landed on its roof in a ditch filled with water.
It's reported that a bystander saw this vehicle and attempted to smash the window to get him out.
Deputies arrived on scene a short time later, and were able to successfully break the rear window, open the door, and pull Prange to safety.
Prange sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and was transported a nearbny hospital for further evaluation. It was later determined that Prange was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
Prange was charged with a traffic violation, and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. He was released to medical staff and given appearance tickets.
