Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Over the course of the next two weeks, the Buffalo Sabres will continue to honor the life and legacy of Rick Jeanneret by re-airing some memorable broadcasts with the longtime play-by-play man of the franchise.

The schedule of broadcasts begins Friday night at 7 p.m. ET with the replay of "RJ Night", when the team raised his "RJ" banner to the rafters of KeyBank Center against the Nashville Predators. Then at 9 p.m. ET, the team will replay Jeanneret's "Last Call", his last game called in the broadcast booth against the Chicago Blackhawks on April 29, 2022.
Among the other notable games being re-aired over the next two weeks on MSG in honor of Jeanneret includes:
- April 14, 1996: Sabres vs. Whalers - Sabres' final game at the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium.
- April 27, 1999: Sabres vs. Senators - Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal Round featuring Buffalo sweeping Ottawa.
- May 18, 1999: Sabres vs. Bruins - Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal Round featuring the elimination of Boston.
- Dec. 19, 2005: Sabres at Flyers - Ryan Miller pitches a shutout win in Philadelphia.
- Feb. 4, 2006: Sabres vs. Senators - Ryan Miller outduels Dominik Hasek in a home shootout win, featuring Thomas Vanek's "around the world" shootout goal.
- March 16, 2006: Sabres vs. Maple Leafs - Sabres secure an eighth-straight win on home ice.
- April 22, 2006: Sabres vs. Flyers - Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal Round featuring Brian Campbell's hit on R.J. Umberger and Daniel Briere's double-overtime winner.
- May 2, 2006: Sabres at Flyers - Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal Round featuring Buffalo's seven-goal onslaught to eliminate Philadelphia.
- May 8, 2006: Sabres at Senators - Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal Round featuring Ryan Miller's incredible 43-save performance in Ottawa.
- May 10, 2006: Sabres vs. Senators - Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal Round featuring J.P. Dumont's overtime winner.
- May 13, 2006: Sabres at Senators - Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal Round featuring Jason Pominville's shorthanded overtime winner to eliminate Ottawa.
- Oct. 26, 2006: Sabres at Islanders - Sabres extend their season-opening winning streak to 10 games.
- May 4, 2007: Sabres vs. Rangers - Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal Round featuring Chris Drury's game-tying goal with 7.7 seconds remaining in regulation, following by Maxim Afinogenov's overtime winner.
- Feb. 13, 2009: Sabres vs. Sharks - First home game following the crash of Continental Connection Flight 3407 in Clarence Center on Feb. 12, 2009.

Also as part of this series of broadcasts will include the live broadcast of "Remembering RJ: The Man Behind the Mic" at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 27. The event will feature roundtable discussions with broadcasters and Sabres alumni, including the likes of Martin Biron, Danny Gare, Dave Hannan, Jim Lorentz, Rob Ray, Lindy Ruff and more.
General admission tickets are free to the public, but are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
