Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Sabres are bringing back another depth piece for the blue line with the Rochester Americans next season.
The team announced on Monday the re-signing of defenseman Jeremy Davies to a one-year deal worth $775,000.
Davies joined the Sabres organization last offseason as an unrestricted free agent, and spent the majority of his 2022-23 season in the American Hockey League with the Amerks. In 66 games with Rochester, the 26-year-old netted 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points.
During the playoffs, Davies played 14 games for the Amerks and scored a goal and added five assists for six points.
In just one appearance with the Sabres this season, Davies went pointless, while taking a penalty.

The Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec native was originally a seventh-round pick (192nd overall) of the New Jersey Devils in the 2016 NHL Draft. After signing his entry-level contract with the Devils in April of 2019, he was traded during the offseason to the Nashville Predators as part of the P.K. Subban deal.
In 191 career AHL games, Davies has scored 21 goals and picked up 70 assists for 91 points. At the NHL level, Davies has dressed for 23 games and picked up three assists.
