(WWJ) A Clinton Township man and a Detroit woman have been ordered held without bond, charged in a fatal shooting in Detroit.

Joshua Kendall Regland, aka Joshua Kendall Ragland, 22, and Renita Gail Declouette, 51, were both arraigned on first degree murder charges last Thursday in 36th District Court.

According to Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, it's alleged that, on the evening of May 27, 26-year-old Sherard Alwin Youngblood of Oak Park had just left a gas station and was walking down Minock St., in the area of Schoolcraft and Evergreen Rd., when the defendants pulled up in a car beside him.

An argument ensued and then escalated, investigators say, at which point Regland, who was in backseat, pulled out a gun and shot Youngblood.

Police responded to the scene and Youngblood was taken by EMS to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Ragland and Declouette were arrested following an investigation by the Detroit Police Department.

Along with the murder charge, Ragland is facing one count of felony firearm.

Both Ragland and Declouette were remanded to jail where they will await their probable cause conferences, set for Oct. 1 and 2 respectively, both before Judge Ronald Giles in 36th District Court.

It's still unclear what the initial argument was about. Prosecutors said more details will be released during further court proceedings.
