(WWJ) An Ohio woman has been charged in a fatal crash in Detroit that killed two of her young children and left her third child in critical condition.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said Zantea Jackson-Pool, 23, from Toledo was speeding in the area of Agnes and Field Streets in Detroit when she struck a car in the intersection on Thursday around 8:30 pm.

Jackson-Pool's car flipped over, according to the Prosecutor's Office.

Her three children; ages 2, 3, and 5; were inside. Prosecutors tell WWJ the children were not in a car seat or wearing a seatbelt. A man and a woman were also in the car with her.

Her three-year-old son and two-year-old daughter died from their injuries. Her five-year-old daughter is in critical condition.

Jackson-Pool was fleeing from a fender-bender where she sideswiped another car, according to the Prosecutor's Office.

She and her female passenger suffered bone fractures. The man and woman in the car she struck at the intersection were not badly hurt and are expected to make full recoveries.

Jackson-Pool has been charged with Reckless Driving Causing Death, Driving While License Suspended Causing Death, Reckless Driving Causing Serious Injury, and Second-Degree Child Abuse.
