ECORSE (WWJ) - One person was arrested following an hours-long standoff in Ecorse.
The incident unfolded Tuesday morning at a home on East Josephine Street, along West Jefferson Avenue just north of Outer Drive.
Police officers surrounded a home where it was believe an armed man had barricaded himself inside. Other circumstances surrounding the incident weren't immediately clear.
Some of the nearby neighbors were helped out of their homes, while others were advised to shelter in place.
It remained an active scene until around 1 p.m., when police said they were able to take the suspect into custody. His name was not immediately released pending an arraignment on formal charges.
No injuries were reported.
