DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are searching for a brazen criminal who got into a car that was running outside of a Detroit gas station and drove away, knocking the owner on the ground.
The incident happened around 7:20 a.m. on Sunday, March 3 at the Marathon gas station on Grand River Avenue just east of Telegraph Road on the city's west side.
The victim left his vehicle running while he went inside of the station. At that point, the suspect walked out of the station and calmly got into the victim's vehicle -- a red, four-door 2018 Nissan Sentra.
The incident was caught on surveillance cameras.
The suspect is described as approximately 30-years-old, wearing a baseball cap, white zip-up hooded jacket, white and black sweat pants, and white and black gym shoes.
