DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are asking for the public's help looking for an elderly man with a mental illness who went missing Tuesday.
Carl Lewis, 66, was last seen in the 500 block of E. Grand Blvd. -- in Islandview on the city's east side -- on April 5.
Police officials say Lewis left his home around 8:45 a.m. that day and hasn't been seen since.
Lewis is described as a Black male standing approximately 5'8" tall, and weighing around 225 lbs. He has brown eyes and a bald head, according to police.
His caretaker tells police he was last seen wearing a red and black jogging suit, and house slippers.
Authorities are asking anyone who has seen Robinson or has information regarding his whereabouts to call the Detroit Police Department's 7th Precinct at 313-596-5700.
