EASTPOINTE (WWJ) – A St. Clair Shores man is being held on $1 million bond after allegedly shooting his own brother at a family reunion in Macomb County.
Kevin Deon Jones, 48, was arraigned Monday on multiple charges, including attempted murder.
The charges stem from a shooting at Kennedy Park on Schroeder Avenue in Eastpointe on Saturday.
Jones allegedly confronted his brother in the parking lot of the park and shot him multiple times in the chest, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.
His brother survived, officials said.

In addition to attempted murder, Jones has been charged with felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, carrying a concealed weapon and three counts of felony firearm, second offense.
Judge Kathleen Galen set bond at $1 million cash/surety only, and upon release Jones is to have no contact with the victim or his family, no firearms, no illegal drugs and is not allowed to leave the state.
His next court date is scheduled for Aug. 29.
"These serious charges serve as a stark reminder that even at family gatherings, gun violence can forever alter lives," said Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido.
