Jazz Fest will open for business at 12:30 this afternoon after morning rains delayed the second Saturday of the event.
The wet weather this morning caused Festival promoters to put the opening on hold around 9:30am.
Jazz Fest's twitter page reported updates to the festival line up will be announced shortly.
The good news comes from WWL-TV Meteorologist Chris Franklin who assures us: "Other than being soggy on the ground, it'll be drying out for the rest of the afternoon and evening."
A tornado warning for Tangipahoa Parish was issued in the ten o'clock hour by the National Weather Service. The weather service also reported possible waterspouts having crossed the Causeway between the midpoint and the Northshore.
WWL AM/FM is following the weather situations closely and will be providing update as they become available.
