
Look for warm air to blow across Southeast Louisiana today.
"It will be an unseasonably warm, breezy and humid day ahead of a strong cold front," WWL-TV Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum forecast.
He says rain will increase throughout the day and into Friday.
"Scattered showers and storms will develop ahead of the front this afternoon. A few could be strong with gusty winds and heavy rain."
He says we could get near or break a record for heat today.
"Expect near record highs in the lower 80s. The record is 84° set back in 1982."
Nussbaum says the cold front will sweep across the area tonight with a line of showers and storms.
"Friday will be a cloudy, breezy, much cooler raw day with scattered showers throughout the day as southwest flow aloft stays over us. Highs will only be around 60°."

SATURDAY:Cloudy and chilly with a 20% chance for a few showers mainly in the morning. Lows north of the lake around 45 and south around 49. Highs around 58.
