Not as hot after morning rain

Cover Image

A line of strong storms raked across Louisiana overnight, sending showers and downpours into Southeast Louisiana for the morning.

While it makes for a wet commute, the rain and clouds that follow are keeping the region from getting as hot as it has been.

"We will have a mix of sun and clouds through the afternoon," According to WWL-TV Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum. "The clouds will help to keep high temperatures to around 90."

It only lasts for one day, however.

"Highs will be in the mid 90s and it will feel like 103-108 Tuesday and Wednesday."
