Tropical waves to bring rain; development not expected

A series of easterly-moving tropical waves is expected to bring rain to our area over a few days, according to the WWL-TV local weather experts.

One will arrive Sunday morning, bringing with it a 50 percent chance of rain and breezy conditions.

Another wave could bring some tropical moisture to the Gulf of Mexico by mid-week.

The National Hurricane Center is not predicting any tropical cyclone formation over the next five days.
