A man was shot dead in the Bywater and now the New Orleans Police Department is investigating.
The shooting happened in the 700 block of Franklin Avenue according to an NOPD report.
The initial police report shows that a man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
EMS pronounced the man dead on scene. The initial call to the police was made at 2:32 a.m. Few details are available at this time.
