New Orleans Police are looking for an armed robber who stole a man’s luxury watch but gave him another timepiece in return.
The victim said he met the suspect in a French Quarter bar and left with the man and a group of women.
“While inside the vehicle, the victim showed the male his $13,000 Rolex watch,” according to an initial police report. “The subject demanded the watch and procured a rifled-style firearm, pointing it at the victim. The victim complied.”
Once they got into the Marigny, the 35-year-old victim says he was allowed to get out of the car.
“The subject let the victim out of the vehicle at the intersection of Frenchmen St and Dauphine St.”
It was at that point that the victim pleaded with his attacker to return the Rolex.
“The victim asked for his watch back and was given another watch by the subject before fleeing the location.”
This happened around 8:00 pm on Thursday night.
