(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Well, it's that time of year for Chicagoans to polish their humor as the Name a Snowplow contest is opened yet again.
For its third year, the Department of Streets and Sanitation is asking Chicagoans to come up with and vote for six snowplows in the city, one for each snow district.
Previous contest winners are:
Mrs. O’Leary’s Plow
Da Plow
Salter Payton
Sears Plower
Sleet Home Chicago
Holy Plow!
Jean Baptiste Point du Shovel
Skilling It
CTRL-SALT-DELETE
Casimir Plowaski
Ernie Snowbanks
Mies van der Snow
Bad, Bad Leroy Plow
Winners get a photo op with their name snowplow along with other city swag.
Last year, WBBM’s own traffic reporter Neil Fiorito submitted the name “ChiPlowGo,” which was picked as a finalist.
You can submit your name by Jan. 4 at shovels.chicago.gov.
