(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – The Chicago Blackhawks say intense interest in rookie sensation Connor Bedard is driving up ticket prices for the team’s season home opener.
Ticketing data shows fans are paying nearly double the amount for a ticket on the secondary market for Saturday’s match against the Vegas Golden Knights in Chicago.
Those hoping to see Bedard’s home debut in the regular season are shelling out an average of $242, compared to $123 for last season’s home opener.
Bedard was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NHL draft, which went to Chicago. At 18 years old, he is considered one of the most talented players to come along in years.
