Indiana’s Lt. Gov., Micah Beckwith, says the state needs a ban on “chemtrails,” that conspiracy theorists believe are sprayed from airplanes for purposes like controlling the weather, or something more nefarious.
This topic came up on Beckwith’s "Ask Micah Anything" video series he hosts on social media.
Viewers submit questions and he said this one is “near and dear” to his heart.
“We have these chemtrails, we have this problem with cloud-seeding,” he said.
Beckwith said he talked with Governor Mike Braun about this, and the Governor first asked him where this is coming from and then said “it has to be a federal government thing because it’s not happening from the state.”
Beckwith said “I don’t think President Trump, knowing who he is and how he wants to Americans first, I don’t think he would allow this if he knew it was going on.”
Beckwith seemed miffed that most lawmakers believe this is a conspiracy theory, with a couple exceptions.
He said "I think we've learned that most conspiracy theories are only conspiracy theories for about six months until you find out it was true."
At the end of the segment, he said “maybe it isn’t happening, maybe it is happening, I don’t really care, but we should outlaw it nonetheless because it is a very dangerous thing and it shouldn’t happen if somebody is going to try to manipulate our skies and our weather and do things that are nefarious to our ground, to our food and to our future.”
