EVANSTON, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Evanston police have arrested a homeless man who they say is responsible for setting three fires last week.

On October 19 at approximately 10:10 p.m., police responded to the CVS in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue for an arson investigation.

Officers arrived and discovered the trash can near the bus stop was fully engulfed by fire. City cameras in the area of the Arson captured the incident. The suspect, Michael Flynn, 52, was captured on video setting the fire and leaving on foot.

Two other incidents of Arson included a grass fire in the 900 block of Howard Street that took place a few hours before the fire at CVS, according to police.

Two hours after the CVS incident, an officer located a trash can on fire at Ridge Avenue and Howard Street on the Chicago side of the street. The video captured the suspect setting the fire and leaving on foot.

Police said the suspect was the same person from the CVS Arson and the same person seen leaving the scene of the grass and brush fire.

Flynn, who police said is homeless, was arrested and charged with Arson on October 20. He admitted to setting all three fires after being taken into custody.

He received a $200,000 bond and remains in Cook County Jail.
