CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The returns show just one Chicago ward voted for President Trump over Joe Biden.

Democrat Joe Biden was expected to easily win the City of Chicago and he did. But, Block Club Chicago reported that the 41st Ward on the Far Northwest Side, voted for Republican President Donald Trump. He garnered almost 52 percent of the vote, according to unofficial election results.

The 41st ward and the 19th on the far South Side have traditionally been conservative, but Biden received 58 percent of the votes in the 19th Ward. The 38th Ward, which borders the 41st, also saw a closer contest, with Biden winning 57 percent of the vote. Otherwise, Biden got around 60 percent or more in most other Chicago wards. The South Side’s 21st Ward gave the Democrat the biggest margin with nearly 96 percent.

Overall, Joe Biden received more than 81 percent of the vote across Chicago. President Donald Trump had almost 17 percent, according to unofficial election results. Those numbers could change slightly once all mail-in votes are counted for.
