CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Just in time for tomorrow’s snow, the city of Chicago unveiled Mrs. O’Leary’s Plow and the other winning names from a contest that are now plastered on the side of snow plows.

Streets and Sanitation invited the seven people with the winning suggestions out of 17,000 ideas to the Salt Dome at Grand and Rockwell.

Scott Robertson, an operating engineer for the Chicago Public Schools, said it was cool to win for coming up with Sleet Home Chicago.

"It's really amazing, because I didn't expect the artwork to be on there. Mine looks like the side of an ice cream truck, so I guess the kids might go after it for ice cream."

If your favorite wasn’t picked, Commissioner Cole Stallard said there are over 300 plows in the whole fleet and predicts more contests in the future.

"The people in Chicago are definitely asking for it, so this is the first inaugural, so we'll be doing this again for sure."

He said Salter Payton and the others will be out for the predicted snow.
