When speaking to the media, most professional athletes like to keep things simple and not say too much, rather than say something they may regret later. However, sometimes they can't help but have a little fun while being asked questions by reporters. Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield recently decided to spice things up during his post-game news conference, using a hilarious line from 'The Office' to answer a question about his recent play.
Coming off a win on Sunday, Baker Mayfield was asked to describe his "growth" throughout the season, and the quarterback gave the perfect response. "Whenever I'm about to do something, I think to myself, 'Would an idiot do that? ' And if they would, then I don't do that," joked Mayfield. That line original comes from an episode of 'The Office' and is said by the character Dwight Schrute.
Many fans of 'The Office' were quick to notice the reference to the beloved series. Of course, not everyone was on board with Mayfield using the Dwight Schrute line. However, those people were likely just fans of the Tennessee Titans, who Mayfield beat on Sunday.
