Buc-ee's might be Texas' favorite rest stop, but it's also proving to be one of the most litigious as they've filed a lawsuit against a fellow Texas gas station over alleged trademark infringement.
Buc-ee's has filed a lawsuit against Super Fuels, a Dallas-area gas station whose logo features a dog-like figure wearing a red cape with a blue circle behind it.
According to MySA.com, Buc-ee's lawyers argue that Super Fuels' logo "too closely resembles" that of the Buc-ee's trademarked imagery.
The lawsuit essentially argues that Super Fuels' logo will confuse consumers into "a false sense of security and service" they've come to expect from Buc-ee's, and Buc-ee's further says they had the brand idea first, noting Super Fuels filings show the company didn't start using the animal-centric logo until late 2022.
