Ever since the Texas Rangers moved across the street to Globe Life Field, many have wondered what would become of their former home. Now called Choctaw Stadium, the buildings future is starting to become clearer, as a number of concert and events have been held there, along with a new workspace that recently opened up. Now, the stadium has added yet another attraction launching a fine dining restaurant with a speakeasy style bar and lounge.
On Friday, Choctaw Stadium held a grand opening for their new restaurant and bar, Hearsay. The bar is owned by Arlington Mayor Jim Ross, along with the Texas Rangers and Champions Club Texas. According to Dallas Culture Map, the restaurant features upscale Southern cuisine, craft cocktails, a speakeasy-style bar and lounge, and a rooftop cigar patio overlooking the Choctaw field.
Hearsay will be open for dinner from 5-10 P.M., as well as Sunday brunch from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. There will also be live music at the blues & jazz lounge. With this new addition, many guests will be left wondering why the Rangers ever left.
