NFL players miss practices for a variety of reasons.  Usually it has something to do with resting due to injury or some other personal matter.

Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey was forced to skip practice on Wednesday after he was selected for jury duty!

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Aubrey was selected to serve on a 12-person jury for an assault case in Tarrant County.  Though the Cowboys tried to get him exempt from serving, Aubrey reportedly insisted on doing it.

The case will continue into today and Friday.  The judge has stated he will work around Aubrey's, and the Cowboys', football schedule.

It is unclear at this point how long the trial will last, but because the case doesn't involve sequestration, Aubrey will still be able to attend games.
