It has been a quiet few months for crocodiles in the United States, as cold weather usually sends the terrifying reptiles packing. However, it seems crocodiles are a year-round occurrence in Australia, and luckily they are helping to provide the world with incredible crocodile content in the slow months. The latest may be one of the most impressive crocodile videos yet, as someone captured the exact moment a crocodile leaped out of the water to snatch a flying bat midair.

A crocodile guide in Queensland, Australia went viral recently after they spotted a massive saltwater crocodile going after a bat. As seen in the now viral video, a group of bats are flying near the water, when out of nowhere a crocodile appears, snatching the bat away. “Over the years I have talked to many scientists and I agreed with then that this river is far too wide for the crocs to be successful in catching a bat. Well boy was I wrong,” the guide said in the caption to the video.
