They say there’s no such thing as a get out of jail free card, but the city of Dallas is now offering the next best thing. It was recently announced Dallas residents can have misdemeanor warrant fees waived in exchange for sock donations. All that is needed is a package of three or more new socks and people who have low-level warrants can be cleared without facing arrest.

For the next two weeks, people in Dallas will have the opportunity to save themselves some money while also giving back to the community. Anyone who has low-level warrants in Dallas can take care of them without facing arrest by showing up to walk-in court at the Dallas Municipal Courthouse with socks. According to Fox 4 News, the socks will be donated to The Bridge, a homeless recovery center in Dallas.

People can also resolve their warrants with sock donations at the Singing Hills Rec Center and Fireside Rec Center this weekend or the Mattie Nash Rec Center and Churchill Rec Center next weekend. Hopefully stores don’t run out of socks with all the people trying to get their warrants cleared.
