Every region in the world has a specific cuisine that area has become known for. Here in Texas, it’s all about the barbeque and Tex-Mex, but recently it was another beloved dish that helped Texas land on yet another top 10 list. This one was for the best fried chicken in the world, and a restaurant right here in DFW made the cut.
Fried Chicken is served in just about every part of the world, but when it comes to the best, North Texans don’t have to go very far. Taste Atlas recently unveiled their list of the best fried chicken spots in the world, and Dallas’ own Bubba’s Cooks Country landed at number six on the list. According to CW33, Bubba’s was the only Texas restaurant to make the top 10.
“To say I was in crispy-skinned heaven is an understatement,” said one reviewer of the local restaurant’s fried chicken. While no other DFW restaurants made this list, two chains with locations in DFW made the cut as well, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken and Yardbird Southern Table & Bar. Soon, they may start calling DFW the home of fried chicken.
