After dealing with a drought for months, DFW finally got rain on Monday and the weather was seemingly making up for lost time. Flood warnings spread all throughout the metroplex, and many homes and businesses were damaged. Now, a horse farm in Forney has set up a GoFundMe to help pay for their damages after their brand new barn was flooded, stranding 20 of their horse in a foot of water.

Skyview Stables in Forney took quite the hit on Monday. While their trainers were away at the World’s Championship Show in Kentucky, their new barn on the property flooded, leaving 20 of their show and lesson horses standing in almost a foot of water. Now, the farm is asking for help to fix the damaged barn.

According to CW33, the flood ruined their hay and shavings, and moved all their new arena dirt down into their pond. They claim damages are estimated to be worth $20,000. Hopefully they get the help they need, and the barn is back up and running soon.
