Many times when people are ready to retire, they look to spend their days relaxing on a beach somewhere. While for some that means moving away from Texas; that may soon change. A new Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville themed senior living community recently announced plans to open a location in Texas, bringing beach vibes to the metroplex.
Florida-based Minto Communities USA recently announced they are expanding their Margaritaville-themed communities to Texas, and are currently scouting locations in DFW, along with Houston and Austin. “Latitude Margaritaville has redefined how pre-and-active retirement living is viewed forever with a combination of world-class amenities and island-inspired villa, single-family and cottage homes,” said Minto’s vice president, Scott Rogers.
The Margaritaville themed communities already have locations near Daytona Beach and Panama City Beach, Florida and near Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, according to Dallas Morning News.

Those that move in will get to enjoy resort-style pools, fitness centers, live entertainment, Margaritaville food and beverage outlets and arts and learning programs. No launch date for the DFW location has been announced at this time. Soon, DFW parrot heads will truly get to spend their days “wasting away again in Margaritaville.”
