In just about every movie or television show set in Texas, anytime the characters go to a bar it’s a guarantee one of three things will be seen; cowboy hats and boots, line dancing to country music and a mechanical bull. Of course, there are many real life bars in Texas where all three of these occur on a regular basis. Now, a new rodeo country bar coming to DFW has decided to join the fun and lean into the stereotype, bringing a mechanical bull and adult fun to the metroplex.
It was recently announced that a new bar called “Rodeo Dallas” would be opening up in Deep Ellum at 2724 Elm St., in the space previously occupied by Wits End. The bar is described as an "adult playground" with a mechanical bull, bottle service, DJs, dancing, and light show. According to Dallas Culture Map, Rodeo Dallas is expected to open later this spring.
“Obviously, the mechanical bull will be a focal point — but Rodeo will also just be a country-themed bar with great nightlife, food & drinks, state-of-the-art audio-visual, and plenty of entertainment,” said co-owner Joseph "JD" Ybanez. Construction is currently under way, and soon there will be a new spot to show visitors what Texas is really all about.
