It happened so suddenly, all five Alamo Drafthouse locations in Dallas closing their doors and shutting down operations after the chain’s owners filed for bankruptcy.
Fear not though, movie lovers, Alamo Drafthouse is back!
Yesterday, Alamo Drafthouse announced that all five locations in DFW would be reopening and though no official date has been yet, an Alamo Drafthouse representative told WFAA it would be “sometime this summer.”
Before officially opening though, Alamo Drafthouse will hold soft openings for the theaters, and will offer promotions and discounts to moviegoers. For those who are owed ticket refunds due to the sudden closings, the company says they will give out free ticket vouchers.
Additionally, Alamo Drafthouse Season Pass holders will get a free month of the service if they choose to reactivate their subscription.
