You won't have to search in the Alamo's basement to find one of the most iconic props from a beloved '80s classic.
The red bicycle from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure has officially been purchased and is up for permanent display at the Alamo!
According to KENS 5, the bike will be permanently displayed in the future Alamo Visitor Center and Museum, which is set to open in the fall of 2027.
Dr. Kate Rogers, Executive Director of the Alamo Trust, Inc., said in a statement, "We are thrilled to add this beloved piece of film history to our collection.
"The Alamo holds a special place in the hearts of people everywhere, and Pee-wee's Big Adventure helped to introduce a new generation to the historic site. This artifact perfectly illustrates how the Alamo lives on in pop culture, and soon, visitors to Texas' top tourist destination will be able to see it up close in our new world-class museum."
