When picking a place to live, there are many different factors that come into play. Some want to live near work, while others want to make sure there are great schools in the area. Crime rates are important, but so is cost of living. However, rarely do people think about what city is the happiest. Now, a new study has helped determine the happiest cities in America, and two in DFW made the top 10.
SmartAsset recently unveiled the results of their study to find the happiest cities in America. Looking at the 200 largest U.S. cities and 13 metrics of happiness, they were able to determine which cities can't help but smile. Based on the data, they ranked Plano as the fifth happiest city, and Frisco as the sixth.
According to CW33, Frisco has the highest marriage rate and the most residents living below the poverty level in the country, while Plano ranked in the top 20 in six different metrics. Overall, the happiest city in the United States was Arlington, Virginia. For those looking for happiness in Texas, Plano or Frisco might just be the place.
