Many New Year’s celebrations were much different this year than in year’s past. However, social media was full of new experiences, showing how people chose to close out 2020. For actor Robert Downey Jr., he chose to celebrate 2021 by dancing in mud, honoring one of the biggest stars we lost in 2020 in the process.
Robert Downey Jr. shared the strange video recently, showing the actor jumping into a pool of muddy water, dressed in all white, as Van Halen’s ‘Jump’ plays. Not much context was added to the now viral video, other than Downey Jr.’s caption saying, “Who else is ready to #jump on in to 2021? Here's to the new year."
The video also served as a tribute to Eddie Van Halen, who passed away in 2020. The reaction to the video was mixed, with some online confused by it, and others claiming to be inspired. It’s only a matter of time before people start making their own version of Robert Downey Jr.’s 2021 celebration.
