It seems ever since billionaires Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson traveled to space, the final frontier has become the hottest new travel destination. After Blue Origin, Virgin Galactic and SpaceX successfully launched civilians into space, anyone with the funds to do so have started planning their own space vacation. Now, Russia has launched an actress and director into orbit to film the first ever movie in space.

While many were focused on the billionaire space race, Hollywood was having a battle of their own. Tom Cruise announced plans a few months back to become the first person to travel to space to film a movie. However, Russia beat the actor and NASA, sending an actress and director into orbit on Tuesday. The two successfully made it to the International Space Station, where they will film the movie.
