As soon as the calendar hits November every year, countless mouths begin watering across the United States in anticipation of Thanksgiving. Everyone’s favorite food holiday is right around the corner, and many are already starting to plan their meal for the big day. Of course, there are plenty of traditional dishes that make an appearance at almost every Thanksgiving dinner, but according to a new survey; there is one side dish many Americans can do without.

A recent survey, conducted by Instacart, asked 2,000 Americans what they plan on eating at their Thanksgiving meal this year. While the obvious choices of turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie were well represented, there was one dish plenty of respondents said they always avoid. According to The Takeout, 27% of respondents said candied yams were the worst part of Thanksgiving.
