Though most won’t admit it, plenty of people with tattoos have at least one that they regret getting. Whether it represents a failed relationship, or something that is no longer a passion; people changing often leads to regrettable tattoos. Luckily, a new tattoo parlor is claiming they use ink that is designed to fade away after only 15 months.
Ephemeral Tattoo in New York is yet to open, but is already gaining attention thanks to their promise of tattoos that don’t last a lifetime. According to Fox News, the company’s CEO, Jeff Liu, along with co-founders Josh Sakhai, Brennal Pierre and Vandan Shah, spent six years designing the fading tattoo ink. Currently the ink is only available in black.
While many are intrigued about getting a non-permanent tattoo, some enthusiasts say they will be sticking to the standard ink. “It’s totally against what tattoos stand for: the permanence, the commitment, the rebellious [spirit]. Everyone in my age group is going to laugh at this and say it’s not for strong people. It’s not the real deal," said tattoo shop owner Michael Bellamy. Even without the tattoo fanatics, there are about to be a lot more dumb tattoos on people.
