Earlier this month, a man went viral after completely destroying a guitar autographed by Taylor Swift that he just purchased at an auction in Waxahachie.
Well, not only did the guitar turn out to not actually be autographed by Swift, but its destruction did nothing to decrease its value. In fact, quite the opposite seemed to happen.
The smashed guitar recently sold on eBay for a final bidding price of $6,550, more than $2,500 higher than the original price it was purchased at through an Ellis County Wild Game Dinner auction!
After video of the incident went viral, the initial auction winner decided to sell the guitar online and donate the funds back to the Ellis County Wild Game group.
Per WFAA, all of the proceeds from the initial auction purchase, and the eBay sale, are going to the Future Farmers of America for "agriculture educational program."
