For many Texans, there is no greater summer activity than going to the lake. That’s why some look to purchase a lake house in order to enjoy as much lake time as possible. Luckily for any lake obsessed person in Texas looking to buy some land, a ranch only a few hours from DFW recently hit the market that has five different lakes on the property.
A 2,000-acre ranch near Brownwood is up for sale with a $12 million price tag. The “Five Lakes Ranch” is a little over two hour drive from Fort Worth in Brown County and features five lakes, 10 ponds and several creeks. According to Dallas Morning News, the largest lakes on the property are 15 acres and 16 acres.
“Fishing in the larger lakes can be great and with some management, it is believed these fisheries could once again produce some double-digit size trophy bass,” said agents with Dallas’ Hortenstine Ranch Co. The property includes a 2,800-square-foot owner’s home and a 1,290-square-foot guest house. With this home, finding a lake to go to in the summer will be no issue.
