Classic Chevy belonging to Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong found

The 1962 Chevy II belonging to Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong was found Tuesday night. Costa Mesa Police tweeted the car had been found by Orange County deputies in the area of El Modena, CA.

“No arrests have been made in this incident and no other items that were stolen have been recovered,” police said. "We thank the public for reporting sightings which assisted in the recovery of the vehicle. We also thank the Orange County Sheriff’s Department for locating the vehicle."

The Green Day frontman tweeted to his followers over the weekend that the car, in the band's "family" for over 30 years, had been stolen on Friday.
