Replacing current coach Nick Jonas in this latest round of coach musical chairs is Ariana Grande will be joining John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and the only remaining OG coach Blake Shelton.
Excited about the news, Ari took to social to share the announcement. Alongside a pic of her on the NBC show set, she wrote, "Surprise!!! I am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton next season ~ season 21 of @nbcthevoice ! @nickjonas we will miss you.”
Next season will mark Blake, Kelly and John's sixth season together on the The Voice, while the fourth coach's chair has been in rotation between Gwen Stefani and Nick, who according to Page Six, “will remain on rotation with other stars that have appeared on the show.”
“Honored and excited to join ‘The Voice’ family!,” Ariana revealed, she’s been “a huge fan of the show for such a long time.” Adding, “I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists and help to take their craft to the next level.”
Next level and beyond tho, Ari’s expertise as a leading artist on today's charts is undeniable. Her most recent album, Positions, broke the record for most songs to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and cemented her as Spotify’s most-streamed female artist of the past decade.
