A restaurant in Southwestern PA has been ruled “out of compliance” after a state inspection this week.
The Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety program says June Bugs Restaurant & Bar in Sutersville, Westmoreland County had several violations during an inspection on May 20.
Some of the violations include items in a prep cooler measured at a temperature above the save zone of 41 degrees or lower.
Those items include cheese and coleslaw at 50 degrees and tucker and ham at 51 degrees. Tomatoes were temped at 49 degrees. All of the items were thrown away during inspection.
And, the ambient temperature of the cooler measured 51 degrees. All items were ordered removed until the correct holding temperature can be held.
Other violations included some employees not wearing the proper hair restraints and minor cleanliness issues.
A follow-up inspection will be conducted within nine days of May 20.
