Target announces same-day alcohol delivery and pickup across the nation

Who doesn’t love Target and wine?

Target announced that its expanding its same-day pickup and delivery services to include alcoholic beverages of its choice.

According to Good Morning America, in 29 states, by the end of this month, Target will add wine, beer, and other alcoholic drinks to its curbside and order pickup. The shopping chain will also add same-day delivery for alcohol in states that allow it.

Rick Gomez, Target’s chief food and beverage officer, confirmed that making alcoholic beverages available for delivery and pickup was always in the company’s plan.

“Our adult beverage category is one of the fastest-growing divisions within our food and beverage business, and we continue to hear from guests how much they love our fast, easy and safe same-day services,” Gomez said.

When logging into the Target app or target.com, shoppers will be able to select “Order Pickup” when picking up their order in the store. However, if they choose the “Drive Up” option, their order will be brought to their car outside their local Target.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Target announced new details about its stores across the nation. The company revealed that it was launching mini Apple stores inside several locations.

Target revealed that it plans to expand its Apple offerings and open mini Apple stores in select locations this month, as well as have an online rollout on the Target website.

17 Target stores across the country will soon have “dedicated Apple shopping destinations” with additional locations getting mini Apple stores throughout the year.

In a press release, Target shared that the new spaces will have Apple products and accessories on display so that customers can “experience new products through demonstrations” of the extended “assortment of Apple products” by “Target Tech Consultants,” who will be trained by Apple.
